The Super Matroid technology is Nakasawa Resources’ latest innovation. This innovative oil recovery technology ensures increased profits from produced oil, resulting in higher value projections.

Super Matroid technology increases heat transfer to the reservoir and consequently provides greater thermal efficiency, improving both surface and reservoir-level steam quality to increase reservoir productivity.

The digital technology implemented in the Super Matroid offers our Green Fossil Energy vision for the industry. It helps contain the negative impact of conventional OTSGs, through the exhaustive control of combustion gas emissions.

Fewer injection days are required to comply with the scheduled heat supply, guaranteeing savings in operational costs, fuel gas, and treated water.

Super Matroid systems are completely portable, complying with international land transportation regulations. This allows them to be completely and easily moved between equidistant injection points within an oil field or over urban roads.

Steam with a quality of at least 95% is delivered to the well, requiring up to 12% less feedwater to deliver the same amount of heat compared to 80% dry steam.

INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Unlike a conventional stream separator, which is installed at the steam discharge line’s outlet, there is no loss of condensate or thermal energy with Super Matroid technology. This uses up to 12% less feedwater and combustible gas.

Both Super Matroid systems provide up to 12% more heat over the nominal capacity, guaranteeing greater heat delivery to the reservoir.

This technology increases oil production by 15% or more, in addition to the initial base of steam injection recovery.

Super Matroid technology
complies with all applicable national and international regulations that guarantee process security and efficiency. Nakasawa Resources also takes into account the manufacturers’ recommendations regarding installation, wiring, calibration, testing, and other special requirements.

HOW DOES SUPER MATROID TECHNOLOGY WORK?

Super Matroid technology allows for increased heat transfer to the reservoir and greater thermal efficiency, improving surface and reservoir-level steam quality to increase reservoir productivity.

These systems can operate with feedwater with high total dissolved solids (TDS up to 10,000 ppm) without losing water condensate or thermal energy in the saturated condensate. A steam quality of at least 95% makes steam injection efficient and very profitable in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) processes.

To help implement this technology in your EOR system, Nakasawa has developed two products: The Super Matroid Heater and Super Matroid Cyclone. Both involve controlled condensate separation and remixing with a sprinkler mixer, as well as a process operated by an automatic control valve to obtain a steam quality of at least 95%. This means there is no loss of condensate, and the total mass goes to the system outlet and injection point.

HOW CAN YOU INSTALL SUPER MATROID TECHNOLOGY IN YOUR CURRENT PROCESS?

DON’T HAVE AN OIL RECOVERY SYSTEM?

Super Matroid Heater™ (SMH)

The Super Matroid Heater is a complete system made up of a traditional OTSG with our Super Matroid technology, which is dedicated to generating and injecting high-quality steam into oil wells. This advanced technology encourages additional oil production, reduces costs, and decreases operating time through a more sustainable, and thus profitable, process.

ALREADY HAVE AN OTSG, BUT WANT TO MAKE IT MORE PROFITABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?

Super Matroid Cyclone™ (SMC)

The Super Matroid Cyclone was designed for customers who already have conventional steam generators (OTSGs) and are looking to boost their productivity. The Cyclone consists of a smart capsule that is easily incorporated or adapted to an existing traditional OTSG system; guaranteeing the same results as the Super Matroid Heater.

STAGES OF THE PROCESS:

A-B-C-D-1-2-3

The SMH or SMC follows a process similar to that of a conventional generator. In this stage, wet steam is generated (75% - 80%), with a radiant section (outlet).

E-4

The wet steam is separated into more than 99% dry steam and saturated condensate inside the high-efficiency cyclone separator.

F-5

The dry steam is superheated in a tube assembly or superheater.

G-H-6

Finally, because it is a continuous generation process, the superheated steam is once more mixed with the separated condensate to achieve the desired 95% dry steam at the system outlet. Streams G and H correspond to the steam injection lines leading to the well head and steam venting, respectively. In this phase, controlled condensate remixes are performed to ensure there is no condensate lost or effluent generated; the total mass goes to the system outlet. It is important to highlight that no extra solids or incrustations are generated throughout the entire process.
